Yes - granted, the coverage itself has been good, however there have been more communication breakdowns and little bloopers than I can ever remember seeing, I assume that Adam answered the way he did through frustration because in the previous half an hour or so there were a fair few more issues not just the two I posted, and him saying what he did was out of frustration rather than unprofessional, so no blame to Adam here.

Graphics are good though, but still prefer the big screen at the old studio to the one in the Glass Box.

Edit: Another one there, Adam going to a break before saying actually we're going to Jon Craig

Fair enough to point it out, but do you not have anything better to do than post a moment-by-moment account, complete (somehow) with a sense of moral effrontery?

I dunno, it's a presentation and TV forum so I guess it's topical to discuss that the presentation is a little messy at times and furthermore a sign that perhaps the production quality has fallen.

Stop haranguing people who are having a perfectly fine conversation on here. You are not a moderator and do not need to post thinly veiled digs about how people are spending their time.

People have the right to say what they want, just as I (or anyone else who wants to) can point out when they think people are deliberately and with relish trying to find fault with a broadcaster's output as a pattern-of-behaviour.

One post would do, or else it becomes a monologue that drowns out other voices, even if those voices happen to agree in rather-more-restrained terms.

And to be clear, this is not just a Sky thing., I've called people out on it for doing the same to ITV as well.

But let's leave it there. My apologies if what I said was unhelpful.

Had they not posted those specifics I strongly suspect that you would have been complaining that they were criticising Sky's output based on one isolated cockup

Not sure if this is a first, it appears Isabel Webster left early from Sunrise with Nazaneen Ghaffar in her place to do the weather chat with Stephen Dixon this morning.

There are no "LIVE" wipes anymore no logos between headlines and the presenter at the ToTH and the split backgrounds look different, with a different type of blue. Has there been a "tweak" ?

There's certainly been some minor changes alright.

The headline graphics are now more distracting to me, there's an extra animation per headline now that didn't used to be there. Previously you had an animation for one headline and the next headline overlapped it, now it vanishes for a few seconds and another one shows up, visually quite annoying and for background watching not so nice.

The switch from the last headline to the presenter looks a bit like a rough cut and I don't like it, it seems rather abrupt and just don't feel right to me, with the buffer there it was better and felt more professional now it just feels like a rough cut.

The only good change in recent weeks however is the removal of the silent coming up sequences, which was one of the worst things about the last mini refresh.

Honestly losing the live swish doesn't bother me though.

Don't like the graphics for the French Election, no real need for
BREAKING NEWS | FRENCH ELECTION | TEXT

Having the first two items there means there is barely any room for information, should just be a FRENCH ELECTION graphic to leave more room for text.

You don't like much on the channel do you? Perhaps you should turn over.

I think generally the graphics are good, the election coverage and graphics and the EU referendum were good and generally Sky News is a good channel, is it as good as it was? No, I don't think it is, either in production quality or the quality of presentation and the line-up, it's not bad, just not as good as it used to be.

At times they've just gone back to basics a little too much, I completely agree that 5-10 years ago it was too flashy in places and needed toning down, however at times it feels like it's gone too far and cut back too far and that it has lost a little bit of identity and everything is plain and samey compared with what it used to be.

Whilst the glass box is better now than it was at first it's still a vanity project first and a studio second, hence what happened when Sky News was shifted out to be showing off to the world for the boxing,, from day one has been a trophy to show off, and that seems to be more important than sound quality which is truly disappointing. One thing is for sure the new main studio needs to be built to be a studio as first, how it looks to show off must not be allowed to influence it because that is why the glass box has failed for me.

Dermot saying he cannot hear what is being said in his ear and doesn't know what is being said, second major event in two or three days where there has been production issues, you never saw it on Sky News before, they were pioneers in first class 100% bang on production, it's just not what it was and that is before you consider how much JT is missed.
