I assumed as it is a new building they'd be in a brand new office space... but that looks like there's been quite a lot of wall taken out and at least two layers of paint on the back wall!


Do we know where the new newsroom is being situated? I'm quite surprised at how cramped it looks (low ceiling height, etc). A big reason for relocating Sky News last time around was the fact that journalists were working in very dark, cramped spaces.

If you mean the pink/grey/white wall, that's just bare plasterboard (pink) with plaster covering the screws / fixings (grey) that's then been half painted (white).

AKA Harlequin 1? I assumed it would be in the same building as the studio which is in Sky Central?

Funnily enough, I've never heard it called that. I'm referring to the "main" building that houses most of the sports and entertainment studios and has the big wind turbine next to it, but does not contain the "glass box".

I'm surprised that the studio and production facilities are staying in seperate buildings. Obviously they are now but I assumed it was non-metal and temporary

Well, just going off topic a little bit, the building that the current weekend studio is in used to be a tesco warehouse
