On the 22:20 point, it's more a question of what you won't see than what you will.

Commercial free is the only thing that springs to mind. However, that could not be considered an editorial advantage when neither the Beeb or ITV have ads. Intrigued as to what this editorial advantage could be.

All I'll say is give it a try. I think you'll be surprised by the lack of any of what you might be fearing.

If Sky did a proper ten o'clock news bulletin w̶i̶t̶h̶ ̶h̶i̶m̶ that would be interesting, can't see it happening though.

I was half right!

Maybe they're going to manage a whole half hour without half of it being bloody sport.

Weekends aside, you may be on to something, although I wouldn't use your phrasing.

Are the hours around 10 going to come from the glass box or is Anna going to be running between studios on a daily basis?

There's quite a distance between the two studios - it's a five minute walk between buildings, and of course you can't just plonk yourself behind a desk straight away.

Put it this way... our posts should allow you to draw a logical conclusion.

There's a bit of deja vu happening here because, if you cast your mind back to 1999 when ITV first moved News at Ten, Sky introduced a proper ten o'clock news bulletin with its own titles/graphics, Sky News at Ten. And one of the presenters was Anna Botting.

This a relevant question, if this "change" is supposedly occurring on Monday. If it going to be a big new program or presenter acquisition, I hardly think they would launch with zero promotion as some have noticed. Seems naive and foolish at best. Neglectful and wreckless at worst. If it is a new "programme", the lack of promotion says alot about the current management and the lack of good judgement they are currently displaying. That, coupled with the plain white graphics, boring theme and stupid glass box, adds another tick in the awful column. So if its a "big" change happening on Monday, seems like it might be something presentation-wise. If its a new programme.....WOW (smh).

Who said anything about more white graphics or a boring theme?

With the best will in the world, there's no point in pouring scorn (or praise) until you've seen and properly evaluated the product.

Oh, and there were promos going out just as I was making my posts earlier this evening, which will most-assuredly be tweaked once the new-look programme is up-and-running.

If memory serves, ITV didn't run any Bradby-specific/tweaked titles promos before his similarly-soft launch, but I don't recall any broad-brush posts about how terrible at their jobs the ITV team must have been because they didn't do any promos, so I think there's something of a double standard at work here... again, all based on a product nobody has yet seen.

Oh Im sorry that was in reference to the current less-than-compelling presentation offering. But you are right, Im sure "whatever" goes to air on Monday is going to be "all that". Its going to be amaz-balls. #Fab

You're very single-minded about some things, aren't you? Particularly the Sky News studio/set.

We got the message pretty fast that you thought it looked like a Tesco Extra; now we're understanding that you believe it is reminiscent of a plain, white box, perhaps one made of cardboard. Yep, we comprehend. No need to continue reposting the same content over and over.

I also think you're being fairly rude to the poster you're replying too, most especially in the tone you are using.

Moreover, I have criticised skygeek and others in the past if I feel they are coming across as smug - whether they have intended to or not. On this occasion, I'm with them. They've let people know that something is coming and when to watch - what more is needed? I could understand if they simply said 'something is coming soon but I can't say more!' - but they're not, they've been pretty specific. Cut them a little slack and stop being so, for want of a better word, needy.
