New studio for Ian King Live looks quite nice - square desk similar to the glass box without the cut out glass as he uses a laptop, 3 TV's on the left hand wall and a bigger screen on the right. The backdrop of all the lights looks quite nice too

Now that is a nice studio. Also noticed Kay Burley presented nearly all of her programme at 4pm from in front of the huge screen. Hardly a point having the desk in the glassbox.

Have they dropped the number of the day?

I do quite like the variety between the different shows though, maybe not quite just Kay in front of a screen for three and a half hours, but it's nice to see them establishing their own styles.

I would also debate Kay being more conversational in her style than Tom Bradby. I found her saying "I like porridge for breakfast" quite amusing, couldn't believe she was speaking so informal on a news channel.

Reminds me of a poorer version of the old Gherkin Studio,

Only thing that lets it down is that bank of three screens, which in my view are un-necessary and it looks odd when you have "Ian King Live" on one and the blue strip continues on the others, interupted by the bezels.

I would have gone for the one big screen and used that for everything and had some blue/white lighting elements on the other side.

On another subject, the view of the Studio now with Colin, Kimberley, and the two guests for the debate looks very much like a corporate conference.

I have to agree, really don't like the 3 screens.

Geez SkyNews is really going full tilt white. I agree about the screens. There are a number of applications they could have used that would have been a bit better. Also the fact the screens have different bezels thicknesses is a not good. The lone screen on the right has a much thicker bezel than the ones on the right. Not a big deal, but there ya go. If ya gonna go all "minimalist" and white, the details are important. There probably is some branding on the desk, but nothing on that white wall. They could have had a small to medium sized "engraved" SkyNews logo in white in the upper right corner above the monitors. For some visual interest. They need it.

The Screens are not even lined up properly for continuation of picture, the alignment between the right of one screen and the left of another is out, which is easily spotable when seeing a close up of a guest in front of them.

The thing about the bezels is made worse because they are using a picture that continues between all three, the poor alignment and the white background. It isn't a problem on Sky News tonight because the set and the way they are used is more suitable. They could also use screens with ultra thin bezels.

I don't mind the size of the bezels on the big screen, but really, is the fact the Panasonic Logo on it is easily visible product placement?
