Sky News presentation - New studio onwards

Sorry, just never been the fan of the 'shoebox'. While the new sudio has its own problems, the warm palette, imo, suits Sunrise better than the dark and small shoebox area.

Why has there been more "special programmes" during the day as opposed to rolling news? Are they testing/rehearsing in one of the new studios?

Fairly normal around Christmas time. Was the same last year I seem to remember too.

Mixture of reviews, lower viewing figures and quieter news period (if such a thing exists this year )?

Why are they using the old studio with a different presenter at 5 onwards when kay burley is still meant to be presenting. Are they moving?

Are they using a weekend shift pattern with weekday studio, so the studio change needs to be 5pm or 8pm?

No idea. That's what I want to know. It is confusing

ETA: It's Saturday anyway, so the glass box wouldn't be used regardless and the 1700-2000 slot is in effect. There's no need for confusion.

After all the effort to get Kay Burley to present from the Embankment, the live feed went just before midnight and Niall Paterson voiced into 2017 using other feeds.

Why can't people grasp that things are always different between Christmas and New Year, just like they are in the middle of summer when the main names go AWOL. Or AWL to be more precise.

Really bad timing indeed. The microwave link to the truck was solid all evening until someone accidentally unplugged it.
