Basically, if your EPG shows logos instead of text names, then the logo has been updated.
Not on Sky Q - still the old logo!
Not sure what you would see - in the shots I saw since the weekend some stuff had already been removed.
What would have been nice would be to have everyone working there gathered around the desk or in front of the screen or something like that or a small walk around from the desk to the screen to join them by Kay.
my BT box is showing the new logo

Pretty poor send off of the old studio I thought. Would have been nice to see the jib do a full 360 degree spin of the news centre itself.

As predicted then - no doubt the filler hour is being used to switch everything over and get it set up ready to go and decommission the legacy stuff.
Yes, I expect the biggest job will be to get last few staff in the right place. Decommissioning is something that's done over days and weeks, not straight away.
I doubt that there was anyone left apart from those who needed to be in their positions to put the programme on air

Well, since Sky Q is one of Sky's many TV services (others include Sky+HD, SkyHD, Sky+), I suppose they would be able to switch it at the right time.

Edit: A bad tribute really seeing as they messed up near the end.

RIP Sky News Center - very sad to see it go - many years of excellent coverage from there and many major events and extremely versatile - for me I always associated Sky News with Red and Blue.
I guess the style and design will spiritually live on to some degree in Millbank, all be it on a smaller version.

That looked so good at the time, now I just think of the titles of Drop The Dead Donkey:

I simply mean the fact is that with all of the changes going on they've been running the old studio systems in parallel with the new systems - they're not going to need any of the legacy stuff from Studio A anymore.
I assume that over the past few weeks some systems have been linked to both studios and galleries and there's some technology that is needed for the old studio / gallery that will no longer be needed now.
