A welcome change. Not sure they quite work with most of the current graphics but nevertheless nice to see something different!

Which new weather graphics on Sky News Intl are you talking about ? I have seen the ones in use since 2012 all day.
The Sky News International Weather graphics are lovely as well, but they haven't changed the UK ones.

Before Sunrise at 7am there was flatter, cleaner ones for the weather but it seems the old ones are back now.
Graphics for 9pm/10pm/11pm are the same as last week, so it seems only daytime is getting changed for now.

Cleaner and flatter but useless because the precipitation and cloud cover radar was completely missing. Only the temperature was shown.

I wonder how much 'filling time' came into the decision making when Sky was setting up Ocean Rescue.

It's more about an aim to raise awareness about the issue amongst millions of people in the next 3 years rather than filling time on a channel.

Personally I think it's doing the job, even when Sky did an inane live a few weeks ago plugging it at the Oval, the day before the start of the third test.
Newspapers not owned by Murdoch have written about plastic in the seas recently, which I doubt would have happened without Ocean Rescue.

What role does Jonathan Samuels now play on Sunrise, he has barely appeared since the graphics refresh?
NJ
Jonathan Samuels appears to now be the news presenter, likened to when Charlotte and Eamonn presented. However, although he no longer presents from next to SJM, I think he covers the same amount he did when it was 'double headed'. SJM discusses the top stories and leads the discussions and JS has the other news.
