Old Studio in use from 12pm, some different pans and views we've not seen before.
Less blue and more white, not any noticeable red now.
That'll be on account of a "Welcome Home, Team Sky" event for Chris Froome and co going on directly under the glass box right now. Normal service should resume from 1500.

So what you're saying is the trophy to show off is being shown off as a trophy and the news channel is now coming from a studio designed to be a news studio?
Whilst the glass box is better now than it was at the start, the fact that content is shifted from it several times now in favour of a chance for Sky to show off, emphasizes it is a trophy first and studio second.

I would disagree with your characterisation, and programming has in fact only been moved on one prior occasion to my knowledge - namely the Joshua/Klitschko pre-fight press conference.
Does EVERYTHING have to be a rhetorical battle on here?!

I do think it is unfair to categorise the glass box as a "trophy first and studio second". From what I can see, Sky are comitted to the glass box and it is understandable that events crop up every now and then which mean that they have to use a different studio. It is also very rare that they do have to switch so I'm not sure this fully supports the argument that they view it as "a trophy."
Finally, if you've got a new buidling you are going to want to "show it off", I'm sure there are cases of other stations doing the same along with businesses in other industries.

Exactly, and I speak as someone working in NBH the day the Beeb went wall-to-wall with its coverage of the Queen's visit to the building. Should it have been covered live? Yes, absolutely - and there was no getting round the bit where she was behind the presenters, but did we need to see every single frame? No.
Have they dropped the nice Westminster background? All interviews from Central London I´ve seen today had the usual white background again.
The usual response to if you've only seen something once is no. I know there was a desire to have more than just the white, and a lot of hard work went into it, so they're not going to just drop it overnight. I can't explain why it isn't there, but you should expect to see (one version or another of) it back.
