There's actually this RTS featurette with the graphics team as well:

Out of interest, can't see the "Coalition Builder" amongst the print-outs. You may not be able to answer this but was this literally brought out of mothballs on the night based on the exit poll result?

We rehearsed five different possible scenarios, and a version of what transpired on Thursday night was indeed among them, so it wasn't a "caught-on-the-hop" situation

Correct.. Excluding a Labour landslide wasn't indicative of any bias, by the way - I think you'd get even Jeremy Corbyn to concede that picking up 130+ seats for his party IN THIS ELECTION CYCLE quite simply wasn't going to happen in this particular political landscape.

It was all very well prepared and clear that Sky has not lost it's edge when it comes to big events.

SkyGeek - is that it for Osterley now? Is the studio being dismantled and not used again, or will it be kept back in case there is another election in the next few months?

I'm not in a position to answer that question at the moment.

Just thought I'd say the HD picture quality from the temporary Westminster studio is stunning.

Press Preview from Downing Street right in front of Number 10!

Few photos on Anna Botting's twitter that are amusing, and Larry the cat playing a big part!

I read somewhere that one of the newspapers a good few years ago actually tried to request an interview with one of Larry's predecessors, I think it was Humphrey - they'd apparently done something feature wise for some reason with regards to the Chief Mouser to the Cabinet position.

I dare say Larry decides himself whether he wants to be petted or picked up and seems an opinionated little fellow, based on that wonderful video of him reacting in shock to actually seeing a policeman on the street. Smile

Only in this country can Lord Buckethead and Elmo stand alongside the Prime Minister for election and we love a cat being in Number 10. Brilliant.

Larry was selected from Battersea specifically for his 'mouse and rat killing skills', so I'd probably suggest the press avoid any petting! Laughing
