Sky News presentation - New studio onwards

I'm not saying that is what it was, it's just what it looked like.

Initially Adam was holding the manifesto, facing Faisal talking to him, then he switched the manifesto to the other hand and appeared to pick up what looked like a control, and as he was pressing the control he stopped facing Faisal who was talking and started looking directly into the camera whilst pressing something and the camera started to move, he turned around, faced Faisal who was still talking followed by then turning to camera again, using control again then another slight movement.

I don't think it was a phone because Adam wasn't looking at what was in his hand and appeared to always face the camera when using it. He was clearly adjusting something, maybe it was some other broadcast equipment.

It'll be the controller for the autocue, it's just coincidence the camera zoomed at the same time.

Cheers - I guess that Adam was looking at the Autocue when it appeared to be him looking at the camera, makes sense to have it in line with the camera.

The logos and wipes are back today.

Seems to be 50/50 at the moment, nothing before 1pm but since then live wipes and seem to have returned as has the graphics between last headline and going to the presenters.

Still seeing graphical glitches, stuttering slides and issues with straps, most noticeable one being the first strap at the 2pm TOTH was the previous hours COMING UP rather than a headline whilst there was no graphics at all for the 2.24pm Sport Bulletin.

I'm not sure if rehearsing for the elections and getting the old studio ready for it is the cause, but since this election has been called the quality of production has fell quite a lot. Previously you could watch Sky News all week without noticing a single issue now there are multiple per day.

They need to figure out why it is happening because come election day any graphical failures, communication issues and putting incorrect information on screen is going to severely impact on coverage, they don't want another moment like they had when the famous UKIP win graphic showed for the local elections.

Think that probably says more about the Lib Dem manifesto than Sky News!

Does anyone know whats the plan for that space underneath the glass box, the place that was filled with Christmas trees over the festive period?

When you do see it, it just looks so empty

I originally thought that's where the new newsroom was going to be, however with pictures of it being in another building, apparently not

I believe it is a promotional space, also has some lifts at the back. It's certainly had the trees, and i'm sure there was also a promotion for 'The Young Pope'. Also, it hosted the Joshua v Klitschco press conference thing recently.
