I'm getting used to the Glass Box now. It's great to have a few more different camera moves on the weekend daytime bulletins instead of the fixed shot from the old studio.
The only frustrating issue is that during the overnight bulletin, we still get the fixed shot when they could do so much more, even if they just use ceiling cameras to illustrate each story from the video wall instead of the dire blue backdrop.
I think since they replaced the white elements with blue and red ones and added extra background elements it's made a big difference with the glass box,, now it works very well for news presenting and I have no issue with that aspect of it.
However when it comes to interviews, press previews it just feels far too formal and as for Sunrise, that has a completely different feel now to what it ever had before, it really has suffered a lot and no longer has that laid back feel it had previously.
I just saw Sky News Tonight at Westminster and honestly, that studio is far more suited to interviews than the glass box.

I'm not too sure about that, it's really showing it's age now. One of the reasons why I think they decided to have Ridge on Sunday from Sky Central instead of Millbank.
Some pres-related canges: IKL and SNT now have a sting with music, AOP had no sting at all and there has just been some breaking news, which came across really odd without the breaking news wipe. Also there are still no live wipes. Hope this is not a constant change. It just feels as there is something missing.
It's better than last week for IKL and SNT now it's got music but it's still inferior to what was there before.
Live wipe is no real loss if you ask me, breaking news one should be there though just to alert those who are "background watching"
The weird thing about the breaking news was when it went from BREAKING NEWS with Sophy saying about Ian Brady to a blank white background with a Sky News Logo full screen graphic with the yellow breaking news banner before going to a photo of Ian Brady.
Are Sky News now using remote control operated cameras?
Very noticeable at 11am when Faisal was speaking to Adam, how Adam was looking down the camera hard whilst fiddling with what appeared to be a remote control as the camera slightly changed angle and zoom level.

Is it me or are the graphics glitching again, I've seen a few issues with it today and most apparent on the slideshow at 12:34 for the Labour Manifesto had serious issues with glitching and stuttering on it's graphics when changing slides?
There seems to be far more production/comms/graphics glitching since they've gone to the glass box fully as opposed to using the old studio, any kind use to be very very rare and it was bang on 99.9% of the time but the number of issues have noticeably increased in the last few weeks. since the move to the glass box full-time.
Just now I've seen Colin apologize for a report that he was introducing that wasn't ready as well.
