I am wondering if the last few seconds of this promo where it says "Decision Time - The Results" , is part of the new look skynews. It features a new background which I cannot relate to the election graphics and of course the skyfont which appears to be pictured in more thin letters

There are also some subtle rendering changes to the Sky News logo.

The little election graphics seem fairly flat and clean looking, which will be welcome compared to the gloss and bevels that have featured in the Sky News branding since 2010. But looking at the white background, it seems clean and flat may not be a focus for any new branding which comes in following the Election night coverage.

That background is used on the start up screen for the iOS app as well (albeit in blue).

So I guess a new look is launching on election night/the next day just as it did in 2010?

Katie Stallard taking over from Mark Stone as Asia Correspondent based in Beijing shortly. Sky as a result advertising the post of Moscow Correspondent. In addition to this, they are advertising the post of Diplomatic Editor following Tim Marshall's departure earlier this year. No word on where Mark Stone is going but I wouldn't be surprised to see him taking over the vacant Australia Correspondent role. I'll miss Mark, he got some really excellent stories in Beijing that have been some of the most memorable in recent years. Beijing can be a tough place to get stories onto the UK news agenda but Mark succeeded in doing so.
