... or maybe there's a much simpler explanation even than that...

Ok, I have finally understood that there won´t be any revamps of Sky News anymore. Sad

You may or may not be be right about a revamp, but let me spell it out more clearly...

The sofa set was pressed back into use this morning because one of the papers guests happens to be a wheelchair user.

I'll leave you to draw your own conclusions about what that means in relation to the pres elements of Sunrise going forward.

Eamonn Holmes said on twitter that it is unlikely Sunrise will be returning to the shoe box. Maybe they are going to revamp it or remove it. Worth noting that Sunrise is the only time the shoe box is currently used on Sky News now.

What's your point?

What's your point?

It was my tongue-in-cheek way of pointing out that the shoebox isn't only used for Sunrise, as evidenced by my own on-air appearance.

Don't want to get pedantic but you obviously didn't pick up on my comment fully and missed the word 'now' - that video was over a year ago. I haven't seen the shoe box used this year apart from sunrise. Compared to when it was used for press previews, feature pieces, Saturday Sport and even going back to the start of JRL it's role has been diminished and now looks like being demolished! On a more general point I think the rest of the studio is looking fantastic and really like Sunrise and SNT from the main desk.

The clip in question is from May 2014, but fair enough.

I do indeed understand this all, but Sky News Sunrise recently (10th Dec 2012) got a new set so let's see.

There was a time when people who worked at Sky and the BBC were treated politely and at times with some deference here on the forum. Especially when they let us into some of the behind the scenes stuff going on.
