Just to note Nick Ravenscroft, former BBC & ITV Brazil correspondent appearing as Sky News reporter today. Always enjoyed his reports from Brazil.

Kay tweeted just before 2 about a 'new look' to her show today. I missed the TOTH so not sure if that was any different, but it seems to be that Kay is presenting mainly from the big screen - she has been for the past couple of days but maybe this will be for more than 10/15 minutes.
There seems to be lots of interaction with the big screen too - various pieces of video/sound being played on the screen and the jib zooming into that, etc.

Edit: It seems that the Afternoon Live stand up position is back

The desk angle is a bit naff, isn't it? Mostly a plain blue with a sliver of control room.

Looks fine to me. I enjoyed the look of 'afternoon live', although it looked a lot better with the old news wall.

Is that the podium they used on Afternoon Live back in use as well? Presumably if it was new it would match more with the style of the Sunrise desk rather than from when the set was new in 2009.

Nothing of the changes from yesterday, Kay Burley was at the desk.

Usually every 4th Tuesday each month.

Either that or you're not watching for very long. She was stood at the newswall today when I was watching.

I meant no whole hour with stand up desk like this tuesday.

Ladies and gents of TVF,

Over the last few months, it's been my privilege to spearhead a project called "The Vault" for Sky News' catch-up service. As of this writing, it features 130 VTs from 1989 to 2013 on iconic news stories from the very day they aired, or shortly after, with lots of new straps for context.

In some cases, such as 7/7 and the death of Michael Jackson, we've even chosen to show how the stories unfolded live, so pres enthusiasts will enjoy seeing former presenters, music and graphics.

If you've not seen it, then (if Asa & co will forgive the blatant plug), direct your broadband-connected Sky Plus HD box to the Sky News area of Catch-Up and scroll along the top to "The Vault" section.

We'll be adding a few more stories from 2014 in the coming weeks as well, in addition to spotlighting the anniversaries of past stories as-and-when they come up, and adding extra material if a current story we're covering lends itself to providing archive background.

It's taken up the majority of my working life for the last few months, and today, it's (provisionally) complete, so I very much hope you'll enjoy it!
