Everything is just so visually awkward and distracting. Far too many cluttered lines and shapes in different directions.

Does the desk still rotate to different sides, or does the camera angles just change for sky news at 5 ect? it's always confused me!

It still rotates, as always.

Great sports presentation today with Chris Skudder standing at a touch-screen.

What made it great and what did the touch screen add to the coverage?

If you're just going to say things like that, you may as well not bother.

I struggle to believe these touchscreens on the news really are - at the end of the day they're facts presented in an order pre-determined by the news team, so whether it's a touch screen or not makes no difference at all.

Imagine it as a PowerPoint presentation. Even though the order of the presentation is pre-determined before it is played, it is still possible for someone to advance the slides by clicking the mouse. In this case, it's someone prodding a screen.

The only time I've ever seen a touchscreen used for something good on a News Programme is Emily Maitlis on Election Nights, other than that they seem to add little or nothing to the presentation of a news programme.

I quite liked the touch screen used by Julie Etchingham around 2008 with Trevor McDonald, I thought like Maitlis she used it to great effect, couldnt find any footage of her using it and not sure if it was virtual like most things tend to be on ITV.
