The bit about not having your mind changed was fairly apparent. My colleagues and I will sleep perfectly well tonight, thank you.

Well if your colleagues don't care about editorial integrity, then I despair for the future of journalism.

Maybe we should declare it dead already.

Ya know what? You're right! The last twelve years of my life have been a total waste. I resign.

(See... I can do blind absolutism, too!)

Define use. If you're talking about configuring the device, then certainly that's not something to be recommended while driving. But glancing at the live map?

That is down to the policeman or policewoman who witnesses it. It's their judgment call.

If they were worried about it, or that it clearly broke the law, they'd be able to stop half the vehicles on the M1.

Sadly for local radio, many of those people get live traffic updates straight into their sat nav too...

Yeah, they probably could if they witnessed them all.

There's nothing blind about witnessing what publications like The Daily Mail and the Sun have turned a once respected industry into. If Sky News start heading down a similar route, then you may as well declare journalism dead.

Jesus could rise again and Cityprod would still find fault with it to prove that his way is the only way.

I would like to put all of this palaver aside and talk about what matters. Just looking at Sky's coverage over this past week on Scotlond, Pistorius and Paisley Sky have broadcasting of the highest standard. The level of journalism displayed this week by their staff has been exceptional.

We know we can't please everyone, but top-notch journalism what we actively strive for every day, and it's nice to know that viewers appreciate it.

not really sold on 'Sky News Tonight', from the editions I've seen. just feels like a regular two hours of Sky News which is fine, but don't pretend it's some radical departure from the rest of the day. doesn't help that Adam Boulton is, and always has been, a very poor presenter.

Don't forget the RTP link can be used.

This topic is for elements of Sky News presentation , not the right and wrongs of social advertising. Please keep it on topic. If you find yourself in a tit-for-tat off topic posting session with another member then it's probably a good idea to stop posting at that point.
