Can you also say something to skynews' theme music? The current one since May 2010 is getting more and more annoying than ever before. I am desperate. The orchestra tune from 2005-2010 was superb.
Oh my god...
What "Oh my god" ? Don't you care about what you get to hear??
You clearly only care about what you see and hear, and don't know that a producer such as Max works with and creates content for programmes NOT creating and/or selecting theme music. Look at things other than the look, feel and sound of a programme and whether the presenter is standing or sitting, or whether a presenter was announced correctly.

News is not just about the look of a programme...
Right but it's on the other hand not just about content! I know that Max is a producer and I would like to thank him for the information he is providing here. I just thought I could ask him and perhaps he knows something about the music.

Respectfully, even if I did - and I don't - I would be professionally-obliged not to share it here as it wouldn't yet be public knowledge. That's just simple how-not-to-annoy-your-bosses-and-lose-your-job stuff.
The things I CAN share are those which are in the public domain (a la Week In Review going on telly) but don't get the coverage they might elsewhere because TVF caters to (for want of a better phrase) a very niche audience.

I might have known this. I hang my head in shame ( as a sky news presenter once said on air
I think this is a mistake by Sky cutting a half hour out of Jeremy Thompson's programme. It will mean Jeremy will be cut back to 90 minutes, Ian King will be 30 minutes and presumably Adam Boulton will be an hour. This all seems very messy to me with three different presenters in a three hour time frame. I would have put Ian Kings programme in from 4-5 to coincide with the closing of the markets and made it a faster paced programme. I would have put Kay Burley on from 1-4 replacing Boulton and Co and then put Adam Boulton on from 7-8 leaving Jeremy's programme in place as usual. I think this could be a big mistake by Sky.

I find it interesting that they are cutting back the business programme to 30 minutes, with 2 lots of ads they won't get through much at all. I prefer Live at five with Jeremy's schedule to be honest but I'm usually watching other things at that time anyway so just flick over during the breaks for a bit.
Does anyone know why for the last 2 nights they have been repeating the midnight hour until 6am? Are they doing rehearsals for the local and European election coverage on Thursday night?

The European Election coverage is next Sunday night FYI.

Surprised though from the news releases it seems to be long form content rather than current reports as I think is on the NOW TV app. No reason short form content couldn't be on the Sky On Demand service I'd have thought.
I'm one of the producers working on this, and I can tell you there'll be everything there you could possibly want, including bucketloads of archive material in "The Vault." Bear in mind this is just a soft launch for the next week or so - we've been ramping up to it for months, but it's going to continue to evolve, and I'm happy to take suggestions for what peoplle might like to see.
Incidentally, it was a privilege to make my on-camera debut today, posted here only because the presentational set-up deviates from the norm (... for fairly obvious reasons!) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zkaofP8tLnU
If you're still welcome to suggestions regarding the on demand service, I think the addition to sky archive footage 'live as it happened' would be a great addition - just as you did at the beginning of the Thatcher on demand report. And also one of the greatest sky journalism nights of all would be the fall of tripoli, which would also be great to add too.
