It appears the overnight team now have the ability to use the Breaking News astons and ticker properly, as demonstrated during the current coverage of the Chile earthquake.
Previously, when Breaking News has occurred overnight, the output lacked any astons and the breaking news ticker/graphics never seemed to work.

They have been busy over the last 2 weeks and I guess now all the info is on 1 line its easier for them to do it too
Does anyone know what the tracks they use for these special reports are especially the opening dramatic 1 for the missing plane?
That special report is being shown instead of showing the Queens speech at the Irish State Visit Banquet live. Not sure that is the best judgment considering the symbolic nature of the Irish President's state visit
EDIT - They have started airing the speech part-way through
Fair enough to be showing the Oscar Pistorius Trial with a one minute delay.... but the tweets shown on screen from Alex Crawford are immediate so it's confusing as you see tweets about things that you haven't heard being said yet.

Now its become a daily thing about 1 story of the day its lost its impact and some days its like they just do it for the sake of it. its repeated at 6:30 & 8:30 so they should have shown that live event instead
Another Royal tour special report today at 4:30, 6:30 & 8:30

Is that a Sky News decision or the courts to delay it a minute?
I've been impressed by how few breaks they have taken during his trial this week as usually you just get into it and they take a break then you have to try and get back into it before another break. I followed the "whole day" on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Interesting that BBC News switched to a 30 second delay yesterday, today Sky have also opted for a 30 second delay... so I think it must be the choice of the broadcaster to delay the court feed as they see fit.
