Just saw it those Sofas look horrible and seeing the laptop on the desk looks tacky and the screen is going to be way too busy behind it with all that stuff there which is going to take the focus off the actual debate as the screen will drown it out.

All it is for me is flashyness for flashyness sake and it looks rather quite tacky , pointless even having the panel on the left and the right since even on a 32" screen here in full HD it's impossible to read anything on there, hate to see what it's like in SD on a smaller screen.

Bring back the old one. The only good thing is the blue theme which is easier on the eye than the older one.

I like the idea showing more on the screen but it doesnt feel as cosy for a night time 'chat'

screen is way too big, more I see it more it dwarfs everything. The screen has many uses, but the press preview is not one of them. The old screen was just right.

Hillarious that they got rid of the side panels on HD which were useful and out of the way - believe I read somewhere it was because they were distracting, but a huge screen taking the focus off everything else with information you can't even read apart from the middle part is okay.

Strange logic.

They should have done it from the desk with the normal side shot for the screen of the three of them talking and the big screen between Anna and the guests.

I somehow also have a feeling that there will be new chairs soon. Kruze chairs seems to be very Sky News, sleek and smooth.

Agree that the news feed on the right is a waste of space as you can't read anything on it and the front pages on the left panel are also quite useless as you can't read anything on them. if they got rid of the news feed and made the papers bigger split down both sides we might be able to read the headlines at least.

The reviewers don't have a copy of the papers so they can't make notes in advance or read little quotes out.

I find it harder to read anything on the current paper on the giant screen except the headlines but could read the zoomed in bit ok on the sunrise screen.

I also agree that the shoebox is a cosy area for a night time chat, watching it the other day Stig Abell was facing the other reviewer as if they were just at home having a chat leaning on the back of the sofa & legs crossed against the table

I wonder if they plan to bring this to the paper review too but how would they clear the furniture away in time to hand over to the weather especially as they have been Qatar Airways less for the best part of a month

So the new look press preview is coming from the big screen - which may explain the seats someone posted about spotting during a TOTH earlier in the month.

Exactly, this was me .

That small table looks ridiculous.

The furniture looks out of place. It makes me think that a runner has hastily dragged the sofa and chairs onto the platform during an ad break. As others have mentioned, the huge screen completely dwarfs the commentators; I preferred the cosy setting of old.

These special reports seem to be a daily thing now

We had loads for MH370, 1 for the U.S. Mudslide, floods last night and now Hillsborough tonight

I do like the music they use at the start for it though very dramatic and fits perfectly with the plane mystery especially

A few tweaks to the press preview tonight, they have made the news feed bigger and only show the latest 3 updates now but I still can't read it. The paper front pages are bigger too and they show 4 at once and it switches between the rest which is an improvement as you can now read the headline on some of them
