Slightly different end to Sunrise today. Lucy did the final weather forecast from the sofa at 54 minutes past the hour, with Sunrise finishing at 56 minutes past the hour

Beat me to it, they went straight from the Live Desk from the break at 8.59 too, does this reduced Weather service start today? But saying that there was a time when they kept the Weather until after the bulletins, not before TOTH.

I notice Ginny Buckley is presenting live on BBC One this morning, on the Crimewatch Roadshow.

Nice end to Sunrise I thought too.

I believe the position of the end of hour weather has just had to move to before the break because of Ofcom regulations.

Strange that Sky cut away from Cameron immediately after his speech to an ad break, rather than staying for the media questions afterwards.

And have now come back after just one ad!

Why are Ofcom interested in the timing of the weather?

I assumed it was part of the new weather service and Lucy doing it from the sofa.

It would have been odd if Sunrise had ended and then come back after the break with Lucy on the sofa and then straight into the TOTH.

It was the same at the 7am TOTH.

They can air the weather whenever they like. OFCOM would only be concerned if Sky put in an extra ad break, and frankly if it was in breech of OFCOM regulations, they've had since 2005 to force a change.

Good to see Anna Jones back presenting the News this morning rather than just the business news...

As expected it looks like Sky have big plans to shake up Freeview and the DTT market with a combination of Sky+, Sky Anytime+ and some pay channels potentially offered to Freeview customers.

Be interesting to see what this might mean for Sky News if it is true.

I was told it was a recent change in Ofcom rules.

I'm not aware of any recent Ofcom changes.

Perhaps Sky were breaking the three internal breaks per hour rule, which would have allowed the fourth at the end of the weather before the TOTH.

By putting the break before the weather, they are in effect having four internal breaks.

Still four breaks per hour though, so swings and roundabouts.
