I didn't see the Sky interview, but saw the similar ITV News one, and it was clear then that the child's mother was around supervising. In such a case, I can't see what the problem is.
I was shocked to see Sky interviewing a child witness, yes, A CHILD WITNESS, about the cumbria shootings. As if it wasn't bad enough that kid will be scarred for life, but to rub it in by interviewing him. DISGRACEFUL...
