I was watching the press preview the other day and noticed Kelvin MacKenzie was on again after not seeing him for many weeks

They were joking around and he said something on the lines of...it was all going smoothly and then I said something and got thrown in the sin bin for 3 months. Does anyone know if there is any truth to this?

He was doing the paper review on Sunday's during the election campaign, he was also on as a guest many times including during the election results programme.

Kelvin did say recently, in his Sun column I think, about the claims Sky News is pro-tory, he didn't believe Sky was bias because after a paper review he got a phone call from a producer telling him not to air such an anti Labour view..

If memory serves me right he made comment about Gordon Brown and his eye. That was the last I seen of him since his comeback so to speak.

Are my eyes decieving me, or is Sky News really leading Live at 5 with the Rio story? Utterly ridiculous! We've got a horrible, horrible situation in Cumbria with developments still coming in and yet Sky think they should lead one of their flagship bulletins with a story about FOOTBALL Shocked

Normal service is resumed then.

It is Sky... they can do all the fancy HD relaunches they like but the agenda is still pretty lightweight.

Developments ? The last 'development' was Derrick Bird shooting himself over 48 hours ago.

It's time the media packed up, leave Cumbria, and move on, physically, and as far as this story is concerned. It's turned from a tragic event, that has, and will cause unimaginable grief for friends and family of the victims, into a voyeuristic media circus.

Plenty of other news stores around the world, but I agree, Rio Ferdinand should be way down the list.

Seems that there is no Technology Unplugged tonight despite what the EPG says, we just have the news and sport in 15 minutes, every 15 minutes. Was any reason given during skynews.com?

Don't want to say that Sky HD channels will be available on Virgin? Razz

Maybe they thought the Cumbria thing would go on for longer, and didn't arrange any guests.

I'm sure he did a few more after that mis.quoted incident. That was with Chris Roberts incidently, who often 'struggled' with the more opinionated paper reviewers.

Ah yes you are right, I can't remember what exactly he said word for word so I wont go into it. That for me is a better way to deal with things, a few weeks of and then come back. He should be thankful that not many people are watching that time of night, given the current PC climate we live in.

'Struggled' by challenging him? It's all becoming apparent now why Chris went. He got in the way of Sky's progression to opinionated news. Rolling Eyes

Their loss.

Is this Lauren Taylor's first overnight, anybody know?

I was shocked to see Sky interviewing a child witness, yes, A CHILD WITNESS, about the cumbria shootings. As if it wasn't bad enough that kid will be scarred for life, but to rub it in by interviewing him. DISGRACEFUL...

the only thing that could have made it worse would have been if Kay Burley was the one doing the interview. "So which part of the man's brain came out when he was shot?"
