Not strange as such.

She allegedly accepted "a giant diamond in the middle of the night" whilst staying as an overnight guest of the individual on trial.

She denied this took place despite the allegation by her former friend.

All of Sky's promotional ads contain the phrase "We're getting reports of an explosion". Odd that.

A cynic would say its to make you notice them. Many people have Sky News on in the background and when they hear Eamonn Holmes saying "We're getting reports of an explosion" they are going to look at the screen and take notice. It got me the first time.

Interesting to decision to lead with the artificial life story on Sky News at 10. I got to watch Live at 5 earlier for the first time in a while earlier and was very impressed, some great reporting and live reports such as from Ashish Joshi in Bangkok.

Mentioned it in the Weather thread but I think it's worthy of note here too.

Can't quite believe that they would get rid of Francis Wilson. An extraordinary decision. So this effectively means that with the exception of Sunrise, the likes of Kay Burley and JT will be doing the weather forecasts?

Sjy's weather graphics are awful and the presenters really didn't add much to them. If they ditch them and go for easier to interpret graphics, with a simple voiceover, I think that will actually provide a better forecast. ITN used to do them that way, and C4 still do.

Quite a drastic move if that is the case, really harsh on the likes of Francis Wilson.

That's really surprising, and will be a real shame when it happens. I can't quite envisage Kay Burley doing the weather.
