Totally unprofessional! Just seen the clip for the first time. Why Jeremy didn't tell Adam to behave I don't know because that display was totally outrageous. It could of just been because Adam was tired - either way, Sky should have cut back to the studio or to a break. Adam has worked immensly hard over this Election and should be praised for his work mind you.
Adam Boulton: Undisputed hero of TV election reporting
His suit may have been getting tighter and his ties more garish by the day, but for me the undisputed hero of last week's TV election reporting was Sky's Adam Boulton. Whatever time of day or night, the Boulton rock couldn't be budged; he was always there: solid, looming, and ever so slightly menacing. I'm not sure how he managed it, but he always seemed to be at the front of the reporting mob or on the top step of the Cabinet Office as the negotiators horse-traded, and his steady supply of adrenalin made sure neither house- nor homework was done in our household during those extraordinary five days. What I liked most, though, was the way he kept pushing his interviewees to answer his questions properly, whether on the constitution or on other historical precedents relevant to today. The more incendiary bust-up with Alastair Campbell, while delicious to watch, was just the icing on an all-round epic performance. Let's hope Boulton stays Unleashed; he's best on the prowl.
We know what the new logo looks like now, it's on air.
Or have I missed something?
what I mean was before it went to air
Since that was uploaded in August last year, I doubt it was the new logo.
If your talking about the one on the dektop background it certainly is not. It is the old logo but the angle of the screen is distorting the colour slightly. You can see the uppercase 'SKY' on the left.
Sportsline branded as 'Sky Sports News' including logo on the newswall.
They've been doing this on Afternoon Live as well.
Bit odd since Sky Sports News and Sky News sports news are two separate entities really with two completely different teams and different news agenda.
I guess it could be because they want to be associated with Sky Sports News, which has built up quite a strong following and is a well known brand.
They tried that before a few years back - having the Sky News sports segments presented from the Sky Sports News studio (or rather, a very similar set) with SSN branding - as I recall they abandoned it very quickly.
Definitely different news agenda - Sky News sports news covers sports news. Sky Sports News covers
football
news, and not much else.
Nice opening to SkyNews.com tonight, unusually presented by Sarah Hughes.
I also notice SN.com has a proper branded "sting", unlike Sportsline which no longer has any form of titles/voice over, and carries the Sky Sports News logo on the newswall.
An advert for Sky News HD at 2011 was followed by about 10 seconds of the back of Willie Walsh's head. Bit bizarre.
Also when Mark Stone was reporting live from outside the high court, the caption with his name on obscured the caption regarding the story. Quite amusingly, this meant the top line read "SKY REPORTER S GRANTED INJUNCTION" (the "S" coming from British Airways).
Pretty awful to be honest. The channel is really clunky right now.
