Sky must be pleases with all this hype around Kay and Adam, if it gets them the ratings then everything's fine. Maybe that's why they are still sending Kay to present from Westminster.
Today there's so many people gathered behind her but they are quiet, so far.

So silly to have these complaints, I don't like Adam's pink tie, maybe I should complain too. Rolling Eyes

How about his pink blackberry.... Shocked

Ofcom complaints as of this morning

Kay Burley - 722
Adam Boulton - 696

I really don't see the complaints coming to anything, there is scant evidence of bias in Sky's coverage. Yes Kay was probably a bit 'over eager' in that interview but it wasn't biased, Adam's spat with Campbell may have been unprofessional but Boulton was just defending Sky's integrity, he wasn't biased. Added to that the fact that a lot of the complaints are as a result of Labour people like John Prescott posting the complaint page on Ofcom. I am confident that the complaints will, rightly, not be upheld and I suspect Sky will object fiercely if there is any other outcome.

It is her 'shift' after all.

When you go through the blogs/forums and take out the complaints that don't include personal insults about Adam's personal appearance/diet/weight, there aren't many left.

The Guardian says many of the complaints are because people thought Bolton and Burleys behaviour was 'unprofessional'. So those complaints are just going to get thrown out as nothing in the Ofcom code is about professionalism.

From today's Broadcast:-

Quote:
The level of complaints is likely to lend support to those commentators who have already called for both presenters to step down as a result of their techniques.

Totally agree.

The public surely don't seriously care about the Fair Votes campaigners shouting behind Kay, its just a 'fun' little campaign to try and get that woman off the telly sacked.

They're hardly going to complain about someone like Russell Howard, who actually insults various people/groups on a weekly basis.

What a fatuous comparison.

He does a topical news comedy show and Burley and Boulton are journalists.

Who are you to say that everyone complains as a "bit of fun"? What else are people supposed to do if they find these antics objectionable?

Are you not very clever or something?
