But for her actions there wouldn't be a protest about her.

Like I say I doubt many other presenters would be able to hold the show together while a 'protest' relating to themselves takes place in the background.

The real question is why the bloke with the megaphone has got nothing better to do than go and heckle a news presenter. Really worthy cause.

So had she not given that protestor a harsh time in his interview he wouldn't have got his mates to kick up a fuss? I wonder had it been a BBC interviewer that gave him a harsh time would they have had the same response. Doubt it somehow.

No, that would only be the "real question" if someone as poor as Kay were reporting the story.
Individuals can protest whatever they see fit. Kay, Boulton and the hundreds of other reporters on the green are there to do their job and simply report - perhaps with a touch of analysis and insight.
Heckling protesters and politicians in the way Burley and Boulton did isn't supposed to be part of it.
Shouldn't that be patently obvious to a TV Forumer?

I think Burley was taken aback with the comment about being partisan.
Burley - "We're looking at pictures of Downing Street" (a still building). Filler rubbish. Uselessness of 24 hour news channels, rant over.

It’s obvious, yes. I fully recognise their right to protest against her if they fancy it. It’s just that my personal opinion remains that I really can’t imagine anybody hating a TV presenter quite so much that they go and stand in the cold of Westminster shouting at her. Only my view.

And of course you're entitled to say, "protesting against her is a bit much" - but she did choose to go on the attack with the protesters in the first place.
"You're wasting your time... why don't you go home and watch it on Sky News!?"
What a silly thing for her to say. Talk about making a rod for your own back.

Totally agree on that; very daft comment to make. At least we should get some sanity with Jeremy Thompson now.
