The new logo seemed to have appeared at the back of a promo for 'Immigration Week' which commences next week. I presume now that the newswall will be used extensively during the week to show stats/facts on the sky special.
I'm not a fan of this new logo, the red looks washed out, the HD at the end has shrunk to an unproportional size and I'm not sure how the transparency would work. Wouldn't it be a little distracting? Or put it in-line with other sky entertainment channels? Sky should be differentiating Sky News, especially since they're trying so hard not to get the 'fox news, entertainment channel' label.
Also, as the red is different in the logo, wouldn't it mean they'd have to change their graphics on the top right of the screen, usually showing 'live' and also the red strap background too, as they'd be too dark and would make the logo look out out place.
