Not really, those of us who have HD are left with an inferior version to please you guys on SD.
Those graphics are not new, they are the normal HD ones which have been downgraded on HD as well to cater for SD.
Eye-watered by the NEW graphics, welcome a new era has just started .

I am sorry for you HD viewers, I rather referred to the Sky Sports News graphics.

In what way are they inferior? The ticker not going from edge to edge is not inferior, it's just a different layout.
Which aren't new and have been on Sky Sports News for ages.

More to the point, since Sky News tends to be watched casually and in short bursts, how many viewers, in the first few weeks at least, are going to turn on the channel and think that its been replaced by Sky Sports News for some reason? It looks exactly like Sky Sports News (which of course is the point) - DOG and all -and only the presence of the Sky News DOG in the top corner (not visible on a 4:3 TV, and yes they're still out there, especially in the kind of commercial premises that tend to have Sky News on 24/7) and ticker can distinguish it from actual Sky Sports News.

The sports news graphics are ****. Completely unnecessary.

It's hardly a "NEW ERA" as you claimed. In fact, it's doing more of what you keep complaining about - just reusing and tweaking rather than coming up with new stuff.
It's no different to someone just posting "OMG the new graphics on RT are amazing" and then admitting they aren't new, just they've never watched RT before.

Do you want me complaining about Sky News again?
