Quite a significant development today - Sky News has become the first news channel to be available on Apple TV in the UK, Ireland and most interestingly, the U.S.
Apple press release,

Sky News on Apple TV delivers a live 24/7 news feed to users in the US, UK and Ireland, including breaking news and headlines from business, politics, entertainment and more. In addition to the live feed, users can catch up on specific stories at any time via the extensive on-demand news library.
A really smart move I think - they were always going to struggle to get carried on cable platforms in the U.S but this is a neat way to build up a niche American audience.
Not a fan of the little > big boxes they have now for live shots, the old version, big > little, was better because the HD Side Panels fit perfectly, whilst now they cut off half of the visible box. http://up.metropol247.co.uk/062013/1372091281_890894898.jpg
Fantastic press preview there just now, the trio (Botting, Pierce and Maguire) very nearly lost it again! Gotta say that is the only time I watch the Press Preview is to see them 3 totally lose it!
Great live shot usage of the newswall during the TOTH's today. Great and well working 3D graphics combined with the newswall , superb presentation of Martin . All in all a good coverage of the chancellor's speech and I am very pleased by the rich amount of information beeing delivered by skynews! A great day , this is the skynews I'd like to watch!
Oddly the live feed on AppleTV is the non-HD feed and presentation. I'd was hoping to see the HD graphics.
I think the HD feed is only available to Sky subscribers, so they probably want to keep it that way.
It's a bit silly really, about as silly as ITV keeping their main channel off Sky Digital in 1998, to try to give On Digital an advantage. If anything, actually, it's sillier. HD picture quality is not so significantly different from SD. A bit sharper yes, but certainly not enough to make someone choose to subscribe to Sky just to see the channel in HD.
Sky Sports News is a similar case in point. Even the fact the channel itself is behind a paywall, after spending 5 years on Freeview, seems silly. Since going pay-only, Sky Sports News ratings have dropped down to pre-Freeview levels. Why anybody would want to pay extra just to watch it in HD, I just don't know.
They really need to sort the sound of, Andrew's mic is out of sync with the picture (the bbc's sound quality is far superior.) It'd also be nice if they moved location into the heart of the square, sky news Arabia have a great spot. But, brilliant coverage of the 'revolution' so far.
