They are revamping so much : Website, Apps and now the JCDecaux screens, but not the IMO most essential thing: The onscreen graphics.
Why do you think they need revamping?
Well I donīt like the development of the onscreen presentation in the last three years and yes I know I am the only one and yes I know they wonīt change anything in the near future.
I don't see any problem with the graphics. They're functional and they're clear. People don't want whooshy graphics that flash, flip and twist on the screen - which is why Sky News has moved away from them.
They're updating the JCDecaux screens to bring them in line with current branding, so I don't see any problem with that either.
Actually I think the presentation is better now than ever before! The old 2010 TOTH and its associated graphics were terrible, I hated the various glass panels that the camera travelled through was just crap. The minimal look right now is much better.

Ah, I agree with you on that! Each programme had its own format, Live Desk was Social Interaction, as was Afternoon Live and SkyNews.com (which should have never been dumped!!). Live at Five and Sky News at Six, along with Sky News at Ten were hard hitting news and sport and Sky News Today had bits of everything and should be what a generic bulletin should be based on! The various presenting points were a bonus (it didn't 'make' the programme what it was, but it helped!), the business news used to be that virtual graphic that popped out from the newswall, and the 3D graphics were used frequently to explain the story. Now the newswall is really only used for a third backdrop.

Concerning the TOTH and splitscreen background I also like the current style more . One thing that would be great : A refreshed theme.
Bed variations would be enough for me, they have a set of like 9 beds and use 2. Plus the previous packages (2006 and 2008) fit in with the current one and would work for programme specific music!
I always thought I was imagining that the ticker used to be bigger, watching Russell Howard's Good News and thinking 'What the hell have they done to that clip?!' makes sense now! When did they change it?

Now everything is as usual again , this happened only during one report.
