Anyone got a capture?

Look here: http://tvnewsroom.co.uk/sky-news/sky-news-on-pick-tv-51905/

Is this bulletin only ONE time a day at 9? Or does it repeat throughout the night?

Ermmmm hello?

I know this thread is use to childish arguements and posts but I didn't think my post was that hard to understand.

I'm not thick, I know Pick TV is owned by B Sky B... Based on reading Pick TV's Channel Controller saying he was delighted with the move, I was merley making a general comment on TV channels promoting other TV channels.

No, but your choice of language in response to David's post was childish, unnecessary and in exceedingly poor taste. See mod edit for confirmation.

Surely it should just be branded Sky News rather than Sky News HD considering Pick TV isn't in HD and apart from Sky the channels promoted at the end are SD.

But your 'general comment' didn't take account of precedent. This is hardly something new. As another poster alluded to Sky News produced hourly Sky One updates for years and following Sky Three's initial launch in October 2005 they aired Live at Five on weekdays. I also seem to remember Sky Three simulcasting another hour at some point, for a very brief time, though I'm probably confusing this with five's Sunrise broadcast. Viewed in this context, a short prime-time headline hit is barely a drop in the ocean of corporate synergy, based on past form.

By the way I was a regular poster in The Newsroom many many years ago. I'm currently in the US and recently stumbled across TVF whilst reading reaction to news coverage of our recent election - it's nice to be back

Sky promote the other platforms (except Freesat which joined today) for the Autumn Statement trailer this evening.

I was merley making a general comment on TV channels promoting other TV channels.

And everyone else was merely pointing out to you how stupid that comment was. Especially as you made it in the context of a discussion about PickTV, a channel whose raison d'etre is promoting other channels.

Tonights press previews have come from the normal desk, Its nice to see the newswall being used a bit but displaying the papers on the newswall is not readable so they have to keep going full screen

Another minor thing I noticed over the last 2 days they only seem to be using 1 of the sunrise benches both during sunrise and the press previews

Weirdly at the 2am TOTH there is a jib in use, usually its just a ped camera settling into position at the left hand side.

Also, does anyone know why certain segments are against different backdrops?

E.G.
Afternoon LIve - Newsroom/Videowall and Island
Live at Five - Gallery backdrop, physical or on videowall
Overnight - Gallery

Each programme or segment needs differentiating factors that give them an identity, whilst fitting in with the house style. It's just a bit of variety that is attached to each programme.
