I'm missing each side of the picture, can't see the clock on the bottom left, and the graphic in the top right is half cut off as well.

If you have a widescreen TV and that is the case now is a time to set it up, or set your box up correctly.

The clock on the ticker seems to be 2 minutes behind real time, the live clock seems to be correct though.

My box is set up to 16:9, and Sky News usually was showing ok, but tonight its been appalling!

On the international feed itīs quite a mess as well, the Skynews.com logo which is usually used instead of the clock is now somewhere in between , covering the ticker.

So far I've been very unimpressed, very sloppy, why oh why did they try and reinvent the wheel?

They've basically downgraded the HD channel to be little more than an upscaled SD version, it seems so they only have to produce one set of graphics, but I really can't understand why they have done it.

I can't understand why they've done what they have today, just show the SD version in 4:3 and the HD version in 16:9. as normal, they've widened the SD version and narrowed the HD one and destroyed the international feed in the process.

It seems they're trying too hard to accommodate SD viewers, even on the newswall we're having narrow shots now I presume to please SD viewers. Why would sky abandon HD or the night?

I've just sent a tweet stating my distaste at their format carry on. It's definitely not 4:3 or 16:9 anyway that's for sure.

I don't see what the issue is. If you can't see the whole picture, then your TV isn't set up correctly.

With DSO having completed, it's about time 4:3 safe areas were ditched.

I think peoples problem is the graphics on Sky News don't really suit 4:3 whilst the graphics on Sky News HD don't make the most of 16:9 either as for some silly reason they're trying to make HD look better for 4:3 viewers.....

But yet BBC News, Al-Jazeera, and RT are all showing fine on my TV. It's a problem with Sky.

Those side panels look awful on HD, with that strang white line right on the edge of the right hand side of the screen.

HD presentation is of a very low standard. They've dumbed everything down for SD even on HD.

They may as well have just turned HD off for the night, they've all but abandoned it.
