Sky News: Presentation Discussion

The new paper backgrounds have just arrived.

The background loops? I think they've just deleted most of the glass elements, recoloured what ones are left and added the blue 'energy' background.

Coming up sequence was used for one story there - could it be presenters preference? I know that at a TOTH if there is a Paper Review that hour, some presenters bring up a paper and talk about the review being at half past, whilst others do it in vision.

Could somebody please upload the new coming up sequence is possible or any of the other new elements? Cheers

Voiceover with '...in Manchester' at the end, solo anchoring from the scene.

It didn't go 'Live, from the Sky News Centre, this is Sky News, with Andrew Wilson, in Manchester', did it? That sounds like the kind of thing they'd do - anchor it solely from Manchester, but still have it live from the Sky News Centre.

They dropped the 'Live from the Sky News Centre' ages ago, although it would make sense now more than ever to have that bit? They have 2(?) programmes coming from Westminster and one from The City, don't now if there are any other locations?

The live from the sky news centre string has been gone for about a year. It's never heard anymore.

Its always starting:
"This is Sky News, with Jeremy Thompson and Andrew Wilson in Manchester" (yesterday) for double headed presentation on location or just "This is Sky News with Jeremy Thompson" for a studio

Which is strange as Sky News Radio use 'From the Sky News Centre at...' as their opening cue. Although it sounds ridiculous. 'The top stories from the Sky News Centre at...' would be better, it's what they used to say.

Yeah, the old TOTH's sounded more serious where it was just 'Sky News, with Anna botting and..' and the Live at Five one was deeper until they renamed all programmes.

Is ti just me or do the JR Live titles look really bad, as if they have a really low framerate?
