I have been disappointed by Sky's coverage of the paralympics, They are only mentioning a few selected medal winners who may have won 2 or 3 golds, what about all the rest? I see the counter going up but have no idea what they are for

During the olympics every medal won got breaking news status on the ticker and most got mentioned as they happened as breaking news, they had a sports reporter there all day everyday such as Nick Powell interviewing medal winners, coaches etc this time we have hardly none of that, Tonights paralympic report is about 30 seconds long and mentions 1 of todays medal wins

Sky are not alone with this Itv's coverage has been poor too but they have limited time

Sportsline is moving to 22:20 from next week, Are we getting a longer press preview at 22:30?

I would say that is likely. I hope they scrap the 9:30 paper preview while their at it. Whenever there is a big news story the only ever get one paper in before 10 o'clock leaving the 9:30 press preview renderless.

I think there are too many paper reviews / previews on Sky News. Often the front pages haven't even come in so they just talk about stories on the websites.

The international break fillers are much better than before. It's like a continuation of news rather than a break. Don't often see the same report during a few hours of watching.

....plus the worlds most annoying music is now limited to just in the run up to the top of the hour for international weather.

But those ever repeating promos are tremendously annoying . They are still terrorizing viewers with promos of the " Road to Tripoli".
They could bring instead some business updates.

But during the Olympics there was a lot less news around. This week alone we've had a cabinet reshuffle, The Alps murders and the Democratic convention. Also the national interest in the Paralympics is significantly less than the Olympics.

Also in the Paralympics there is a much greater volume of GB medal wins in a shorter amount of time. If there had been this many medals win in the Olympics they would have individually got much less coverage.

Also there was very little other sport on, with the football season now having started.

Considering the growth of interest compared to previous Paralympics from all media outlets in terms of coverage I'm not sure why anyone is complaining.

That's pretty much how it's been for the last few days, except Andrew was in France and it was someone other than Lorna in Osterley.
