This happens always when they have recorded one bulletin to replay it the whole night.
I'm not sure if this has already been mentioned, but the past couple of times I've caught Sky News HD at night, the graphics have been in the 4:3 safe area.. Is this a new thing or an error?

Not yet! But I think if they make a new promo, then they should revamp the programme.
Anyone else seen the new icky Eamonn Holmes/Sunrise promo?

And replace the Sunrise and Newspaper review desk with one that's not being hld together with grey duck tape!

And no, they're not the same. No professional uses Duck Tape, because the glues crap and it comes on ridicuously tiny, ridicuously expensive rolls.

Well they did use it on Afternoon Live with stools (credit to TV-Live):

But it's tiny and you'd never be able to get enough people round it. I certainly wouldn't want to sit on a stool presenting a 3-hour programme either!
Could they not use the podium that was beside the video wall, and just get higher chairs and a higher couch or bar stools?

Drew: I've sat on stools for much much longer than three hours and, believe me my dear, it's bloomin easy!!
Mind you, Kay Burley or Eamonn Holmes wasn't sitting next to me at the time. Although, after a few nice cold ones, they may well have been. One can't recall.
I agree though: that bench is too small for two people, without a doubt.

I think that if it was possible, to remove the desk whilst Sunrise is on air and have a sofa, much like that of the artists impression of the Sky News Arabia studio* in its place with the news-wall in the background, then have the world news at 5:30 and the first half hour of Sky News with Charlotte Hawkins from the podium/island whilst the desk was being put back in place.

They could do with a BBC style desk that can change height rather than removing it, although it would be rather large.
