How do Sky News get the front pages in? Are they usually published or do they pay the companies?

I think they pay the NLA (although I think the Guardian is separate).

Just saw a report by Lisa Holland in Beijing, according to her twitter she is in Beijing for a few months. Also Mark Stone has been in Beijing so possibly they may be rotating correspondents in Beijing. It appears though that Holly Williams has left. No doubt a huge loss to Sky News.

And on the eye!

Strangely she made a report three weeks ago from Istanbul, listed as a "Sky News correspondent". That was her only one since she left China.

When do the anchors usually fly out to the U.S. for special programmes regarding U.S. Elections?

Something I have never seen before on Sky News. Tonight Anna Jones has prespoken a report of the ongoing actions in Syria , which was then played as she introduced the topic. I am wondering why it has been recorded and she wasn't explainig the actions live.

Maybe it was so it could be reused as a report overnight?

The same thing was done with Jeremy Thompson yesterday too. Although, I forgot what it was for.

There is something really strange at skynews international. Instead of the breakfiller they showed a skynews logo and played strange lounge music. I've never heard this music bed before.

I could imagine that they are playing this music to calm the viewers who are watching the terrible events which happened in Denver. I have never seen this before.

Yes, just noted that too. The music sounds remotely similar to the theme music associated with my local service provider here in the UAE ( OSN) and I wondered if it was due to some sort of temporary fault.

Are you seeing a particular regional feed of the international version, or are we all getting the same music?

I am watching Sky News International in Germany. I just switched to Sky News UK and they have the usual ad breaks.

EDIT: Now the breakfiller is on air again.
