Thank you that someone finally also says what I think. Normally noone understands why I don't like the presentation and onscreen graphics. Why do they have a newswall? Not to use it? Although I have to say that I like the new TOTH.

Since they got the new boring graphics, and stopped using 100 different pres points in the studio have the ratings for Sky News gone A) Up or B) Down.

Once you have answered that question, you may realise why nobody really cares about your demands that the graphics are boring. Nobody* watches Sky News for the graphics, or for long sweeping shots of Eamon Holmes walking down a staircase to get to his next report.

* within statistical error

I hear you and do agree but I just think its a shame that a lot of the essence of what sky news was about and what made it more watchable from the beeb has been lost. Again, saying that you are indeed correct it's about the content and the coverage and not whether Kay is standing or sitting as that doesn't really make much difference.

not sure if its still going, but the Ticker was showing the weather normally only on sunrise at 10am and 11am.

I've only just noticed the new TOTH, which is very nice.

I captured it, and then went to post my 'ground-breaking revelation': only to discover that you've all been talking about it for days. Confused

Anyhoo, here's the version on Sky News HD, since it hasn't been posted yet.
(It seemed a shame to waste it . . . Wink )

Is the TOTH actually objects in a 3D environment with a chosen camera movement, or is it a pre made clip with updated stories? Like, could the director choose a different camera movement inside the TOTH and it would all still work? Also the fly down to the logo at the end is wrong, it should be flying up to the logo and it shouldn't be that far to fly.

Sky News iPad 'Live' feed is differe t from the one that was on TV and also supposedly 'live'.

Although the events shown on the web/iPad/iPhone displays are live, they are not intended to be read (even on freeze frame), they are there to demonstrate the availability, surely

In that respect, it's quite an amazing TOTH sequence. The CGI stuff is quite nice, I'm just sorry that I couldn't replicate the HD quality on on my cap earlier (my PC cap card seems to be only SD Confused )

Something odd has happened on Sky News SD there is a black line slowly making its way down the screen and as it does so the ticker and logo keep jumping up slightly then back down again

Edit @ 01:56: Line has now gone but the ticker and logo are still jumping slightly

Edit @ 01:58 Everything seems ok again

Just curious that why they didn't adopt Sky News Arabia's TOTH, just like how France 24 does on all of their channels?

Concerning the TOTH it doesn't matter but it would have been great if they had adopted Skynews Arabia's graphics.

As I understand the voiceover is different parts played out live, eg 'This is Sky News' *gap* 'with' *shorter gap* 'Lisa Knights'. Although the World News one this morning is different, as if it is rushed or on whole recording, 'This is Sky World News, with Lisa Knights', but the longer "World News Review and Business Report" one is the same as normal, in segments.

Why did they drop the 'Live from the Sky News Centre' part? It would be more useful now than before? They have Osterly, The City and Westminster along with other offices acroas the world?
