Where Thomas kindly answered my question with;
There's been some rumours on this forum that they will be moving to the Sky Studios in a few years. See a post earlier on this page.

So following his instructions, I found myself reading this post;
Sky UK could do really with ripping out their set now - it's been seven years and was built for different requirements to what Sky News have now.

Think it's been suggested, by a poster on this forum, that Sky's development plans for their Osterley complex involves the eventual demolition of the Sky News building.

I hope that this answers your question..

Ok thanks. Because various articles mentioned last year that skynews moves soon to the new sky studios to follow the move of sky sports news.

Shocked Shocked Why would they do that??? They have such a big amazing studio/building? Is it cost cutting?? Also what are Sky Studios like?

In fact Sky News UK has an impressive studio, but they don't show it to the viewers ( which makes me angry) and they don't use it appropriately.

So what's the outcome then?

Whoa there nelly! Just to back up a little bit - Sky News don't use their TV studio "appropriately"?!

What should they be doing then? Swimming galas? Open it up as a supermarket? Last time I checked, they were broadcasting from it - which is the purpose of a TV studio.

Sorry, but it seems that you have missunderstood something. My question was whether they move to the new sky studios and not why they don't use their studio appropriately. This was an old post from me and completely off-topic.

Transcript of the interesting exchange last night between Jeff Randall and BSkyB chief exec Jeremy Darroch about Sky News and email hacking.

Quote:
JEFF RANDALL:
All right. You’ve said that this company is fit and proper; we shouldn’t be looking elsewhere. If this company is fit and proper, how come it indulged e-mail hacking? Doesn’t that damage reputation?

JEREMY DARROCH:
So, look, I’d say a few things about that. First of all I’m satisfied that the decisions that Sky News took were in the public interest. Occasionally these come… we come up against these rare decisions. They’re very difficult. What’s important in those situations is that we have the right degree of editorial control and process. In this case two people went to jail; we unearthed significant criminal activity; the police themselves said that Sky News’s intervention was pivotal in securing a prosecution. And I was satisfied that the controls around those decisions were appropriate.

JEFF RANDALL:
So when would we do it again?

JEREMY DARROCH:
Well, John Ryley himself has said it would be very, very rare if he could think of any circumstances where that would be the case. It’s…

JEFF RANDALL:
Yeah, I don’t quite get it. If we’re happy with its going on, why would we not be happy with it in the future?

JEREMY DARROCH:
Well, I think… so I think we need to, you know, take those individual cases very specifically at the time. As I say, there would be… they are very, very rare in their nature. They absolutely need to have the right editorial control around them. And we will always be in the swell of what is, you know, acceptable public opinion as a broad news service, and clearly there’s a lot of debate going on about that right now.

Oh yes of course, sorry for that mistake. It was rather a typing error . But in the past I am shure that I have made lots of mistakes. But this is sadly inevitable, though I hope most posters are not bothered by it.

It might not be everyone's cup of tea, but I loved the return to the Afternoon Live format just now. They used the old set up of the Sunrise box set and Kay's interview with Wladimir Klitschko was very interesting! Plus, the addition of the new #skytoday 'get in touch' wall graphic looks good too. Nice to see it's not just same old, same old like the BBC!
