A siege with 4 hostages it seems is underway in the Tottenham Court Road area of Bloomsbury, London. All over an HGV licence not being issued apparently by a firm, Advantage, who provide HGV training. Chaos admittedly but surely Boulton and Co ought to have a break for the other News ? There is nothing happening at the moment apart from the whole area being gridlocked

I think full rolling coverage is the right thing for Sky to do, this is a story that people are actively tuning in to the channel to watch at the moment. I was having lunch in a pub where Sky News was on the big screen and (as much of a cliche as it sounds), people started gathering around it. I've also seen a lot of criticism on Twitter of the BBC News channel having very little coverage, I'm guessing that would have been due to the One O'Clock News.

It's a fine line between sensationalism, and under-reporting an ongoing story. I think Sky have got it right, as it's one of London's busiest roads - with lots of disruption, and any reports of explosives are likely to be taken seriously by 24h news stations.
Interestingly for me Sky continued in Tottenham Court Road with Kay Burley in the Studio at 2 p,m while the BBC News Channel lead item is the man (James Allen) wanted urgently by the Police for the Middlesborough and Whitby murders. The Beeb moved to Bloomsbury at 2.06, very briefly, having given good coverage to the wanted man story.
On CBS News, why is the Sky News Logo not the same size as usual? Rather the old graphics size logo.
Maybe it's burnt onto the video.
It isn't burnt onto the video as they sometimes forget to fade it up during the CBS period. It seems to be the same kit that is used when the main graphics fail, so maybe they have simply forgot to amend the size?
