And Anna Botting getting the names wrong on the first question... I didn't quite hear what she said - but everyone seemed to be cracking up... including Boris.

She called him Brian Johnson, not a great start from Anna obviously a few nerves, would have liked a voiceover for the opening.

Anna Botting's walking around and the constant change in cameras is very annoying.
Disappointed so far...

I like the helicopter shot from outside of the building. It's a shame the camera doesn't get any closer, I would have liked to see Anna Botting starting the programme by looking out of the window and presenting to the helicopter. I expect they couldn't do that due to lip sync issues though.

Maybe even the wipe with the sound effect to cross over to the job camera next to the candidates.

One cannot help but love Andrew Pierce, he can make the most serious of things laughable. Love watching him on the Press Preview and he got me laughing just with this face...

I have to admit I was quite surprised to see Anna Botting presenting it, I know she'd normally be on shift at the Sky News Centre... She's a top presenter but maybe Adam Bolton would have been better (he did present Sky's Leaders' Debate).

Maybe they were worried that this might happen again... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6P6cUWu7fzA&feature=related

Shall I make it a triple or just a double? Wink

That entire debate was really rather embarrassing. Anna was utterly sh!t at chairing the debate - allowing not only the candidates to keep talking over each other, but allowing some of the public to talk over the candidates' responses, and allowing both public and candidates to launch into long rambling rants, rather than either asking actual questions or answering them appropriately.

And looking at the production design, if it wasn't for the branded lecterns, I'd have assumed that I was watching a parent-teacher conference rather than a high-minded political debate. Compare this with Question Time, for example - which manages to produce a professional-looking production in any space that it has to work with, along with commanding adjudication that maintains order throughout.

Sky can do much, much better than this shambles (see: Adam Boulton, general election debate), and I'm really disappointed that they didn't do better. It was a very lively debate, but too often it descended into disorder, and the slapdash production, and frequent cuts between cameras, were just the cherry on the turd.
