Did anyone else see the breakdown in communication at about 9:30 this morning when Gillian Joseph handed over for a business update? The new, evidently inexperienced reporter was still having her make-up done when the camera turned to her in the Gherkin. After that, she was all over the place - fidgeting, leaning in her chair, hair in front of her mouth.

Not one of Sky News' finest moments it has to be said.

From that short clip it looks like a real cock up by Sky News here. Her earpiece is hanging out, she is unprepared, the sound is cut out, she is fidgety, and of course, not to mention, the failed make up artist who knows she messed up.

Don't worry if you are not a fan of Metropol. You will just be using their bandwidth and resources - taking the buggers down from the inside.

so that's your plan is it Wink

Thank you for that amazing insight. For some reason it makes me want to post this:

I'm not a fan of Sam Washington but on this occasion form the clip it seems she has unfairly taken the blame for this cock up.

I apologise for sounding critical of Sam Washington. I was watching it in the gym, and the sound was muted, so I had to rely on the subs. I didn't realise she had been working with the Beeb for so long, but she must have hastily been brought in to cover that slot.

Dissappointing to see martin presenting in front of the boring gallery backdrop mow even during JRL. Is it impossible to have a nice newswall backdrop which shows a nice JRL programme image?

Oops. Wrong take of Jon Craig outside Westminster with him getting his words muddled and exclaiming "Fcuk!"

Here is the video of his blooper if anyone missed it.

Very unprofessional of Jon Craig I have to say.

Not really, it was an outtake, it wasn't his fault it was shown. Whatever happens of air that shouldn't be aired but is, is the person who put the clip to air's fault.

It wouldn't have been as bad if he said "bother" rather than "f..k". Very unprofessional.

Errr no that isn't the way it works. You should never swear, even when you make a mistake in-case it is accidentally brought to air. In my opinion, I also feel it is unprofessional.

Totally agreed! It seems that Jon has a problem when it comes to swearing. It was not the first time I saw him doing that on TV.

Ed Milliband was live on Sunrise from somewhere in West London this morning.
