Earlier on today Stephen Dixon was interviewing Andy Burnham and for some reason on SD the screen went green at Andy Burnhams end when sky went to full screen. Stephen at the end of the interview apologised for the inconvenience to Standard Definition Customers so that obviously means Skynews are monitoring it in SD meaning they should be aware of the problem that has been mentioned several times on this thread.
Perhaps the problem is not severe enough for them to fix it
Have the overnight pre-rec sports bulletins been axed? Lukwesa did sport live during the midnight news.
The sports bulletin during the midnight news has been live for a few years now, with the pre-rec of the 11pm hour being played out during the 1 and 2. World News then has its own sports presenter, I believe.

Have you sent the email yet? Since you seem really concerned about them not knowing about the sound issue.
I would have written an e-mail in the coming days but since today it seems the sound issue has been solved. I have seen three normal ToTH s today and the sound has been working immediately after the break. Let's see for how long this lasts
I saw it coming! Now they are announcing the Ipad app instead of announcing the website skynews.com. Before going into break now its says on the red strap on skynews for Ipad followed by the coming up story . I bet that more people have access to the website than owning an Ipad

Yes, but Sky as a company have more of a corporate interest in promoting the iPad App (because it is free to Sky subscribers) than they do in promoting the website (which is free to all). Sky Sports News launched an updated iPad App today that is heavily based on the Sky News App's user interface and the idea is that free access to these apps can be used as yet another incentive for people to subscribe to the Sky platform.
