The sound is still not working as it should be! You see the presenter constantly talking for a few seconds without audio. Embarrasing for an international newschannel

Would that be the same problem you've complained about here, here, here, here, here and here?

Have you contacted anyone at Sky about this problem?

And incidentally, since you're in Germany, is this problem occcuring on the UK broadcasts or the International version?

Bizarre as it may seem, nobody (unless you are very very lucky) on this forum can do anything about your problem. If you want it fixing, you have to tell people who can fix it, not a random internet forum which slowly gets more and more annoyed by repeated complaints (see also "hippyshakes").

This problem occurs on skynews intl via satellite (19.2°east astra ) and skynews uk (28.2° east astra ) .It has nothing to do with the location because I am just a german citizen who likes watching british newschannels ( especially skynews) and it occurs since one month or so. I just thought it is worth reporting about it because it should not happen and is from a presentational point of view unusual for skynews .But anyway I'll refrain from posting this problem

Yes, it's worth reporting, but not constantly complaining about it - that just gets on people's nerves. If it gets worse, or gets fixed, or even if someone else asks about it, pipe up then, but please don't keep posting "it's still broken" like the proverbial record. We can all assume it's still broken until told otherwise - likewise we don't need constant reminders that BBC One still isn't using the Balloon idents, we just assume they haven't gone back because nobody has said they've done that, and that's despite the lack of balloons upsetting some members more than you with your audio failures.

The reason I asked if it was on the international or UK versions, was me wondering if it was a problem with the insertion of international adverts into the UK feed, not me having a go about you being in Germany.

My question still stands, have you told anyone at Sky about this?

No I didn't tell anyone at Sky yet. I don't think they will get my e-mail but nevertheless it's worth a try

Try their twitter account. Its not going to have so many "requests" and will be more likely to be read

Or in the subject line of the email, put it as 'FAO Paul Bromley'. He's the Viewers Editor and I've had pretty swift responses from him in the past.

Earlier on today Stephen Dixon was interviewing Andy Burnham and for some reason on SD the screen went green at Andy Burnhams end when sky went to full screen. Stephen at the end of the interview apologised for the inconvenience to Standard Definition Customers so that obviously means Skynews are monitoring it in SD meaning they should be aware of the problem that has been mentioned several times on this thread.

Contrary to the belief on this forum, Sky News monitor both HD and SD feeds at all times.

Extremely good live coverage of the Lawrence verdict this afternoon must be said.

Perhaps the problem is not severe enough for them to fix it
