Am I missing something software wise? I have the Sky Go Desktop program and the Sky Go app for iPad, and then there's the website.

Is there a fourth portal somewhere?

Yeesh, its nae easy.

I presume it is only on the Anytime+ TV service, i.e the enhanced Sky Anytime service with full on demand functions available only to Sky Broadband customers.

Sorry Gavin, I meant I could only find it through the actual Sky box Anytime Plus service, not anywhere on line. Sad

For anyone who missed it a repeat of Alex Crawford's A Year to Remember is being repeated at 8pm on Skynews. I really would recommend it, it makes for compulsive viewing.

Full agree!

Isn't she splendid? Plucky and awesome and a tremendous asset to Sky News.

Alex Crawford has been awarded an OBE in the New Year's Honours List.
Quote:
Among the 420 women who feature on the list, 43% of the total recipients, was Sky News' special correspondent Alex Crawford, who said that she initially thought that news of the honour was a joke by colleagues.

She said: "I am staggered and honoured and cannot quite believe this is not a prank thought up by one of my more mischievous colleagues. TV news is never about just one person.

"Behind me and beside me are my fellow reporters, producers, camera crews, editors and directors. It is a genuine team effort and this fantastic accolade is for all of us."

Head of Sky News, John Ryley, added: "I am enormously proud of all that Alex has achieved over her 20 plus years at Sky News. This honour is wholly deserved.

Alex's determination and bravery as a reporter is relentless and this recognition acts as a testament to journalism at its very best."

Caps off a pretty extraordinary year for her.

I also agree. What an excellent programme!

Her review of the year wasn't just the usual montage of clips: it was actually the year from a reporter's inside view - and what a view she'd had with her team!

It was insightful and, at times quite emotional, without pandering to sentimentality. I wasn't aware until reading this thread that Alex Crawford had been awarded an OBE - but it is well deserved.

From a presentational point of view, I also noticed the programme was branded as 'Sky News HD Documentaries', which is something I've not seen before . . .

I can't remember it being called Sky News HD Documentaries when it aired on Sky Atlantic. Obviously they just slightly changed the introduction.

I think she's definitely deserving of the honour - her services to journalism this year have been outstanding.

For the fireworks at midnight, I think Sky should remove all their on screen graphics as to not distract as I think many people watch on BBC ONE so to get the full picture as that channel has no onscreen graphics whilst sky does, as whilst just watching the 2012 New Year begin in Australia I found it VERY distracting that the graphics were still on and also the information above the ticker "New Year Begins In Australia" it just stayed the same for the whole 12 minutes...

Thing is, people tune into Sky News so they can see the news so the graphics tend to help. If you want to watch just the fireworks, watch BBC One instead, like everyone else does....
