The snow graphic for the weather from Sky News is an absolute fail.

I do not have a problem with them but rather with the too often used boring and repetitive theme music!!
(although sky news has the potential of using much more and lovelier themes!! )

Instead of the music id rather them bring back the coming up sequence and a better/longer voice over

Exactly these are another two things I would like to have back again!

the first time I saw skynews showing the normal skynews logo instead of the skynews hd logo on an advert for the election results at 2 am. Maybe a sign of the end of the "hd" centric presentation

Pleased to see they will be bringing back some form of 'Year in Review' this year, although it would be hard not to considering how eventful the year has been. Alex Crawford will be hosting a special documentary reflecting on 2011.

Appears that the Year in Review will not be featured on Sky News - it will be on Sky Atlantic instead, at 9pm this Tuesday. Makes a change from the endless repeats that they show on that channel at the moment.

Also scheduled to be screened at 8pm on Christmas Day, on Sky News.

Starting Sunrise tomorrow. Should be great. Only one weekend of it before Christmas, then getting 'stuck into it' in the new year

Has Mark Longhurst left, or does he have a new slot?

I believe this was discussed in the Presenters and Rotas thread - Dixon has moved to Sunrise and Mark Longhurst is doing evenings from now on.

this constant sound failure makes me mad. When they know that they have such problemes, why do the presenters immediately begin to talk after returning from break, instead of waiting 2 seconds until we can hear everything?

Certainly not getting that on Sky platform - in HD anyway.

Is this on Sky News HD? Complete speculation, but it might be your audio gear being switched between PCM/DD? That often introduces a momentary gap on my amp...

I see this fairly regularly on Sky News on Freeview.
