I do wish that Sky wouldn't use the term "Replay" for recorded news - it sounds more like sport coverage. I much prefer it when the term "Recorded earlier" etc is used.

Perhaps I'm being too fussy in my old age. Wink

Id prefer they use the term "Earlier" or "Earlier Today" as replay doesn't sound right in an accident, escpecially with dead. It sounds more like a motor race

does anyone know why they stopped announcing the website before going into break? They just say 'coming up ' with the usual theme music now!

Looks like Neal Mann was certainly the right choice for the 'digital news editor' position,
Quote:
Neal Mann, the Sky News digital news editor, is the most influential UK journalist on Twitter, according to the study, with 100,000 mentions and retweets from his @fieldproducer account in the three months to the end of September.

"I am almost lost for words," Mann told the Guardian. "Undoubtedly the highlight of my career and finally makes all the pains of 'Twitter thumb' worthwhile."

Quote:
The Guardian is the most prolific UK media tweeter, according to the study, with more than 100,000 Twitter updates in the period, ahead of BBC News with 78,000 and Sky News with 47,000.

Conrad Murray trial verdict due at 9PM. Normal service resumes tomorrow! I will forgive them what will undoubtedly be over the top coverage tonight, look forward to getting the usual evening schedule back (and the ticker).

A rather large Sky News graphic just appeared on Sky1 advising viewers to switch over at 9.

Surprised they've left Martin on this hour, I assume someone more senior will take over at 9pm as usual?
