I have switched off sky news in the past few weeks. I am fed up with the constant live coverage and highlights of the Jackson Trial. Is there no other news in the world. Also I find the Sky Destination Reports and the Reporters advertising what they have achieved so annoying. They are OK in small doses but not at virtually every break.

Yeah, it has been a bit much. I can't remember ever seeing the ticker in non-yellow mode for the last few weeks.
I know we’ll never get back to the mid-90s when Sky only used the term “Breaking News” to signify a particularly major event a dozen or so times a year, but it’s overuse now has got to the point where it’s completely meaningless and has meant that the news of Osama Bin Laden's death or the Tsunami hitting Japan has been given the same treatment in terms of on-screen furniture as the important Breaking News that the continuing Michael Jackson coverage will be available on the iPad later.
It’s almost as if they’re going to have to make the ticker turn red or something to make you pay attention when something really important happens.

I like the position of the breaking news bar on the website now, it stands out a lot more than the last 1, Its also good that it remains on the bottom of the screen no matter where you scroll to on the page

Was going to watch Jeff Randall Live tonight, but as soon as the Jackson Trial came on it was over to World News Today
It must be damaging Jeff Randall Live. Can't imagine it's regular audience are impressed to tune in and find trial coverage. And oddly enough if they want an alternative business show at that time, the competition is (the excellent) Quest Means Business on the American owned CNNI

May I just say, I like the website update, however I do have one quite big concern. On the TOTH tunnel when the website appears on the seconds video/image the story is UNREADABLE and even upclose to the television I cannot see what the story is, so I'd say for the TOTH they should keep the old website, like a template or something as there is really no point of having unreadable graphics on TV.

A couple of weeks ago Jeff Randall topped Sky's ratings. It was in the 8pm slot, because of the trial. Never seen it in the top tens before.

Im not sure, however, I think it may be the 19:00 - 22:00 Slot, is just overall, well watched. In a sense of....People don't watch it for content, they just watch it cause it's a time when theyre home from work, or just not necessarily watching TV.

I thought Sunrise tended to be the most watched slot? And that the general consensus was that evenings don't fare as well as daytime, leaving aside the occasions of major breaking news or events.
