In the 9am hour this morning the graphics were off for quite a while, and they had problems getting them back on. Took around 5 minutes to sort out all in all.

The new Sky News promos are very good, especially the Holly Williams one. Shes really an asset to the channel IMO.

Ive just seen all 4 of skynews' promos and they are extremely well put together. One little thing that annoys me though is at the end it say their name and sky news correspondent. Sam Kiley is Sky News Security Editor and Stuart Ramsay is Chief Correspondent so it would have been better if they gave them their correct titles. Also when speaking about this I don't like the way Sky now have 5 on screen editors. Foreign, Political, Security, Economics and City. I believe there should only be an editor when there are other on screen correspondents working on the same brief. Ie. Adam Boulton is political editor and has political correspondents working under him. For the likes of Security Editor, City Editor and Economics Editor these Editors are not really above anyone else because they are the sole reporters in these areas. I think Security Correspondent etc would suffice.

6 actually - Nick Powell is Sports Editor. I do agree it doesn't always seem necessary though.

Just seen the Sky News at 9 promo on last night's Mount Pleasant - it is interesting that Sky have begun advertising the news channel more in their programmes and during adverts.
In recent weeks I've seen Sky News featured on Inside Gatwick, Strike Back and Mount Pleasant, be it featured when talking about the snow last year, in the background of offices, or on the tv in characters homes. I haven't seen the news channel being incorporated into in-house productions this much before.

The Sky News iPad app appears to have gone behind a pay wall.

So long, then.

I'm not sure if this applies to you, but if you have a Sky ID, you can still use the application for free by signing in with it.

So they donīt use the isle at all anymore, but why didnīt they remove the base then? I think that the base is an obstacle on the floor.

For 99% of the time on air the base is not seen - probably cheaper to leave it there and keep in case it is used in future.

I don't, although my dad has one. Don't think I'll bother asking. This was as much sky news as I'd seen in years. Pay wall is a suicidal idea. Certainly not paying to see ads all the time.
