When I was on holiday in Spain recently the TV in my hotel room had Sky News, but the international feed with a DOG covering up the clock and a break filler in place of the ads. You have to wonder how Sky can make any money from it with there being no ads?

I always watch skynews international and there are ads beside the breakfiller. These ads are different than those of skynews uk and are mostly for presenting different destinations such as india malaysia abu dhabi and so on. Very often an ad about the sky cycling team appears.Other ads about turkish investment, turkish airlines , xerox .. appear, too
Some great new promos on Sky News today. So far I've seen Sam Kiley and Stuart Ramsay featured - telling how they covered certain stories. Very nicely done.

Holly Williams did a very poignant ad as well this morning, speaking in Chinese, with subs on the bottom of the screen.

Did anyone else notice the new Sportsline intro? I didn't get to see it but heard a voice over-type noise (not Bruce Hammal) and noticed that there were no headlines. That was at 2230 tonight.
Try Sky One at 9pm.
I saw one last Tuesday (before Inside Gatwick) where it was just a voiceover in front of some blank promo endboards - with a new one sliding in with each story. (Afraid I can't do caps.)

Same goes for CNN International and BBC World News. CNNI seems to be entirely funded by tourism agencies and Middle Eastern businesses. And, of course, Qatar Foundation.
Steve may have watched the channel at night, when the international news channels are more or less ad-free.

sadly I haven't the possibility to watch sky 1 due to the reason that I live in Germany. But nevertheless thank you!
The EPG suggests that Jeff Randall Live is back from its summer break tonight.

Did anyone manage to capture Sam Kiley's report about 20:25?, They played out the wrong 1 right at the start he stopped and then restarted again and then right at the end he got a bit wrong and said oh balls before the sound was quickly cut, Cut back to Martin who apologised for them playing out the wrong report
skynews seems to have too often technical problems a the moment. Sometimes they have to be careful : On the night of the 2.5.11 when bin laden was killed I switched to world news with lisa knights. Sky news startet to talk to robert nisbet live . The problem was that the breaking news were overlaid by robert nisbets' name . The consequence was that on the screen it said : "Sky correspondent robert nisbet has died".
