That video cuts out the best part (as far as this forum is concerned anyway). After she went to a 'break' we got about a minute and a half of an animated Sky News logo (Sky News HD logo on HD by the look of it.) before the adverts played. They effectly caused Sky News to stop broadcasting [programmes] for a couple of minutes, not just take a break. I wonder why they didn't return to the studio, show a report or get another presenter to present from another OB.
EDIT: Kay Burley didn't actually come back on air at all. When they came back from the break, Sarah Jane Mee presented from the studio until 17:00.
EDIT AGAIN: Good work from the subtitler(s) this afternoon, subtitling both Kay Burley and what the pretestors were saying. It meant that people who can't hear at least had an idea of what was going on which is not always the case.

Not really, if broadcasters are daft enough to attempt live serious interviews in the street, than that's what can happen. The world's full of nutters, and a camera is a very effective 'tw*t magnet'. You'd have thought they'd have realised that by now, but obviously not.
Another example is from Wednesday's Newsnight, which was shown on HIGNFY.
I'm not aware the disruption of a TV broadcast is either a criminal or civil offence, so tough !

Ive been watching Sky and I am really impressed with the way the whole relaunch of sorts is going. What really impresses me most is the transition between the regular ticker and the BREAKING NEWS ticker. It really is fantastic.

If they hadn't gone back to NSW, I expect Kay Burley would still be presenting from Westminster.
Interesting use of the Sky Sports News logo on the great new sports graphics. Didn't think they would stick to the NSW format on such a big afternoon in Westminster though.
